Original artwork description:

This is an image inspired by a Grimm fairy tale about an old woman who lives in a vinegar bottle. Her husband catches a magic fish who grants him a wish and he wishes for his wife and himself to have a cottage instead of their current vinegar bottle. His wife, never satisfied insists that he find the fish and gets them a mansion/palace/etc and eventually she wishes to be God. That is when they find themselves back in the bottle. So my painting is only the magic fish as I see him, bursting out of a picture over a mantlepiece

Materials used:

gouche, watercolour crayon
