Second painting of the fish pond in the garden.

Painted on a larger scale compared with my first in the series, this painting is much more expressive in its approach in which I have used much more muted colours to try to show the impression of the twilight evening light which where the conditions when I painted this picture.

Obviously with a subject like this it is natural to get inspiration from Monet. This painting is painted with bold brush strokes and was painted "En plein air" over a period of several sessions.
