Original artwork description:

As the first snow settles on the fells the stark contrast of winter sun appears, accentuating the lights and darks across the landscape. The accumulating thickening clouds act as the perfect reflection of the final sun's rays generating rich dark colours. I wanted to capture the strength of the failing light through a series of quick watercolour studies and On returning to the studio I worked on the composition and started to produce the final artwork. It certainly lifts one's mood to see the beauty of light in nature.

First Snow On The Tops is a framed original oil painting created and painted by myself. The back of the artwork is signed and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity.
