Painted on location in Bude, Cornwall, First Point II isn't so much of a literal representation of First Cove, but the essence, atmosphere and unique aspects. The wonderful fingers of jagged rock reaching into the swell are suggested, the shimmer of late sunshine across blue green waters. Painted with translucent blends of glaze contrasting impasto palette knife application helps to give the painting its Cornish atmosphere.
