TITLE : First Night

The dramatic view from the cliff tops at the north end of Skye on a day of dramatic stormy skies and bright sunshine. The sea shimmers with light pools as vast rays of sun pour through breaks in the clouds. Like a stage for the first night of a performance for the gods.

I am drawn to the cliffs on days like this, when the air is clear sharp and the edge beckons like a magnet, you feel you could just lift your arms and fly.

About My Work
I am luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special large prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Canson Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.

About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.

Other Sizes
This print is available in other sizes on canvas or paper. I am happy to take custom orders, just drop me a line.

Framing Options
I work with professional framers in the UK and the US. If you would like a quote please let me know.

A Note on Canvases
Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. They are matte varnished and come with 1.5 inch (4cm) gallery wrap or with white or dark coloured sides, just let me know which you prefer. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery. All taxes and duties to be paid by the receiver.

Thanks for looking, if you have any questions just let me know.
