Original artwork description:

I have been studying the techniques employed by William Turner to create his iconic impressionism pieces. In this work I have placed two gaff-rigged vessels at sea during the rise of the morning sun. This piece has been created using professional grade acrylics on a sheet of un-stretched 16x20 inch canvas and is protected with a coating of clear, water-based varnish.
It is my hope that viewers will feel the calmness of the sea and the overall peacefulness of the scene.
