This painting is inspired by the drawings of Michelangelo - the beautiful and strong anatomy of the humans he was creating are a characteristic of his style. To emphasize this even more, Virtosu has used his innovative "thick paint" technique to add a layer of depth into the painting.

Popping out from the canvas, the paint dabs on this hand create a powerful contrast with the smooth and perfectly even background gradient. A contrast not only in color but also in texture - this painting will look different in various lighting conditions - depending on how the sun illuminates it.
