This abstract landscape painting was made by hand painting onto a printing plate & then printing layers & layers of small areas almost dry acrylic paint onto a hand painted surface to create a ‘distressed’ textured finish. It is a unique, one-off artwork.
It was inspired by a field of beautiful deep pink rosebay willowherb flowers in Alaska, where the plant is known as 'Fireweed'. You can find them all over the UK as well.
Another abstract landscape from this series, 'Towards the Woods' (also for sale via my Artfinder shop) was selected for ‘The Director’s Cut’ by Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair July 2023 & shortlisted for their international exhibition.
This artwork is sold framed in a white frame & is ready to hang.
