From the seashore the sails of yachts gliding along calm blue water in the sunny day look like fires burning in the distance. Yet, the scenery is tranquil, and there is no danger to the viewer, nor to the lone small tree piercing out of the ground in the white pot along with some grass, with young green leaves barely starting to put forth from the crinkly trunk, nor to the yachtsmen enjoying the sea far off. Most of the painting is occupied by a beautiful seascape, with boats sailing upon the surface and clear sky above, while about a quarter is taken by a yellow sandy beach, with a tree up close.
