Original artwork description:

Another of the works in my studies of Greenwich Park. I was struck by the glaze of the sun which was setting behind the trees and looked as though it could set fire to everything.
I thought the work which started out as a sketch and a few attempts to capture it photographically would by quick and easy to paint.. I couldn't have been farther from the truth, the painting was reworked over and over and I even re-cropped it from its original portrait format to its current square one. In the end the work finally sang to me and allowed me to finally finish it.
