Original artwork description:

My mother was at Oxford during the war. One of her jobs was fire-watching. She never told me if the blitz actually affected the buildings of Oxford, I suspect not, but clearly its possibility did affect the residents. The idea remains of flaming spires.
Oil on stretched canvas (35cm x27cm).

Materials used:

oil paint
