Artwork description:

Every Mid-Autumn Festival, a 67-metre Fire Dragon, meticulously crafted using thousands of burning incense sticks, winds through the streets of the quaint neighbourhood of Tai Hang, carried by more than 300 people and accompanied by roaring gongs, drums and firecrackers, enshrouding the neighbourhood in a warm, smoky glow.
This fascinating tradition of Hong Kong dates back to the 19th century, when residents of the then small Hakka village were hit by a strong typhoon followed by a plague. The villagers decided to perform a fire dragon dance around the village for three days and three nights. Miraculously, the plague disappeared.
