This is a painting to honor Greece. The Classical Greek philosopher, Plato, believed Santorini to be the true location of the lost city of Atlantis. Today, it is a popular tourist destination known for its amazing architecture. Most of the homes are whitewashed or lime-washed using light tints from the volcanic ash to reflect the rays of the sun. Those amazing white hillside structures also have blue roofs and doors to represent the colors on the nation’s flag.
