Original artwork description:

This painting depicts the small plastic finger puppet monsters I remember from my childhood - one in fluorescent green and one in yellow, both set against my usual sky blue background. They were the kind of toy I'd get as a present in my stocking when I was a kid, or pick up from a toy shop with my pocket money. I like to think that my painting captures these retro toy classics in all of their manic, googly-eyed glory.

I love the idea of turning throwaway plastic items that you may get in a children's party bag into a piece of colourful pop art that you can own and display forever.

The end result is a bold, bright, and very summery painting that would brighten up any room in the house.

It is painted in acrylics and Posca pen on thick high quality A4 paper. The final image shows this piece alongside a similar painting also available in my shop.

PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a black A4 frame for display purposes.
Size -
8.3 inches x 11.7 inches
21 cm x 29 cm
Roughly 1mm thick

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, David Hockney, and Patrick Caulfield, but also by modern graphic designers.

Postage will be tracked first class in a reinforced cardboard envelope.

Materials used:

Acrylic Paint, Posca Pens, A4 Paper, Paintbrush
