If I were a composer, I would write a piece about the sounds of the Sea surging into Fingal's Cave on the Island of Staffa, Scotland, UK. Felix Mendelssohn WAS a composer and he wrote the Fingal's Cave overture, part of the Hebridean Suite inspired by the weird echoes in the cave. This is created from 7 shots, taking from the sunlit opening on the left, through to the dark rear of the cave on the right, lit by flash. An ultrawide angle 8mm lens gives the appearance of a curved path, but I was in the middle of a straight waterway. The fabulous shapes and textures come from the columns of volcanic basalt, the same rocks which make up the famous Giant's Causeway in Ireland
