The world of tropical greenhouses has always fascinated me. It is the perfect jungle, warm and welcoming, without the dangerous animals. A kind of paradise lost and found, recreated under glass. In these places, we are in an illusion of wild nature, but everything is in fact under control. Every two years, in the greenhouses of the Jardins des Plantes in Paris, a magnificent event called 1001 orchids is held. Hundreds of flowers are scattered throughout the plantations, embodying an even more perfect fantasy of nature. An ideal source of inspiration. This painting is part of a series made from the photos I took during this event.
