Original artwork description:

Pastel Ink and Charcoal drawing of a number of horses approach the winning line, a single horse has broken away from the chasing group. It's elegant movements contrasted with the brute force of the pursuing pack. My first experiment in using using pastel and ink together to create a racing image, when making the image with the initial layer of ink you are trusting to luck somewhat - when it is there it cannot be erased.

Materials used:

Pastel, Ink, Charcoal
