When I lived in Montenegro, each year, I eagerly anticipated the fig season. Figs grew abundantly on every street corner. Another prominent feature of the Montenegrin landscape is the age-old olive trees, some standing for centuries. In this small oil painting, I've captured my memories of hot summer days, infused with the scent of overripe figs and the comforting presence of olive trees. As often, I've placed this composition against a dark, moody background. Executed on a canvas board with oil paint, the painting measures 18x24 cm unframed and 22,5X28,5 cm framed.
