This piece reflects my mood, as I painted - I find my mood and emotions can greatly effect my choice of palette and style.. I let my imagination free and gradually, the painting evolves. This painting gives hope and light for the days ahead and hopefully will take the viewer's mind to a calmer place.
My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the sky - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
In this piece, I aimed to capture the surreality and figment of my imagination
The sky's layers are developed by forming texture through layering and blending the paint, building depth and highlights.
