Original artwork description:

A couple of years ago we visited Spain and travelled around Andalucia. Our first port of call was in a town called Carmona, where we stayed for several days in a beautiful Parador on a hill looking over the plains of the area. A magical place that had been an old monastery. During that stay, in September, there was a fiesta for new born babies, when the new mothers took them to the church to meet the local community. What a lovely idea! This piece of work is in memory of that happy time and the unique experience we had.

Materials used:

Oils and Cold wax Medium
