I started this painting in the late Summer of 2020 and finished it in the depth of Winter in January 2021. There was a respite from Lockdown in Scotland last Summer, so I got out and about to enjoy it. I titled the painting 'Fields Of Hope, Fife' partly to remind myself of last Summer, and partly to keep the spirits up, for myself and others during the Winter with a reminder of what Summer can be like.
It was a glorious sunny day. The fields of barley had just been cropped, to reveal a wonderful golden colour on the fields. I have painted the trees depicted in the painting several times in differs seasons.
Framed and ready to hang on the wall.
