“On the edge of the field” is kind of my motto because, as primarily a landcape painter, that is where you will often find me. One of my paintings, painted in the Belgian Ardenne region, even has that title. This is a more colourful field but still subtle because it was painted on an overcast day, standing on the edge of a Dutch field in the Zeeland region. I came across these pink and yellow flowers and found them a nice contrast to the dark green of the trees beyond, emphasized by the thundery greyness of the sky. The overall stillness is interrupted only by a few seagulls overhead. They are never far away in the Netherlands, even if you are not standing at the edge of the sea!

“Field with pink and yellow flowers” is a unique, “plein air” (outdoor) watercolour created near Breskens in the Netherlands. It comes mounted and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
