Original artwork description:

This abstract landscape work is a response to the patterns and textures found in nature. In this collection of work I've been delving deeper into the visual language of dots, lines and circles that I have been building over the years with my abstract landscape work, in this case the lines. Weaving the paper strips together to form a patchwork of mark making suggestive of a rural landscape seen from above, the lines like the plow marks in the fields. The surface of the work is not completely flat, areas of the weaving are raised up to create a more three dimensional, sculptural feel.
