Original artwork description:

One of my favourite sights of Northumberland in the summer are the barley fields that coat the landscape in a vast gold blanket; intermittently yet graphically hewn by the tracks from the farm tractors in randomly precise sections. This one field between Warkworth and Alnmouth started to shimmer in the heat of the day and I wanted to record the feeling of the sun at that moment.

White wooden box frame, tray/float mounted (no glass)

Materials used:

Acrylic on hardboard
