'Festival for Ukraine 2' is part of a series I am doing on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the bravery of the Ukrainian people in standing up to the aggression. It is a large (approx 1 metre square) statement piece that would transform any room. It is powerful, colourful and dynamic.

Acrylic paint was applied with a variety of methods, brushwork, palette knives and dripping white and red paint. The dominant colors are orange and red, but it also features blue and yellow Ukrainian flags. The crowd scene at the music festival is highly abstracted.

The overall effect is a contemporary, vibrant and happy artwork that would look great on any big wall, but maybe best suited to a modern home or apartment.
