This is an impressionist style Oil Pastel drawing of the stunningly beautiful Fengtian Temple in the Songshan area of Taipei City, near my home. It is an amazing place full of hand carved wooden statues inside, stone carvings outside and a shiny golden roof that is incredibly shiny on a sunny day! I can see it from the roof of my apartment building and that is where I drew this picture. I drew it during the summer over a few days and would go up to the roof just after four o’clock until sunset when the sun is slightly less intense, but still hot! Behind the Temple you can see the Four Beasts Mountain chain that runs through Taipei City and has many beautiful hiking trails. I love the temples in Taiwan and enjoy the challenge of trying to capture their likenesses using different mediums.

Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
