In 2014, I was asked to make a submission to 'Femmeuary', a collaborative blog for those interested, aggravated or enlightened by Feminism, celebrated throughout the month of February.
I came up with this drawing for my submission - 'Femme Defence', to playfully bring together the international feminist symbol and a knuckle duster with a stiletto heel as the form of defence. The image was then used as the Femmeuary logo and I also ended up becoming their resident artist in 2015, illustrating peoples submissions and designing the zine.
I made my drawing into a limited edition of paper screenprints
Fineliners and permanent markers, heavyweight cartridge paper, screenprinting materials
