These winter trees in Wensleydale line the road leading to West Witton. The thin, skeletal branches form a lattice against the sky as the road leads on and round towards the farm house in the mid-distance. This scene marks the end of a long avenue which is stunning in summer but also has an appeal in the starkness of winter.
