Artist’s proof original woodcut on lightweight Japanese natural kozo paper, made from mulberry bark. This is beige coloured.
The image was inspired by a February visit to Nice, and the nearby Menton Oranges & Lemons Festival.
The print is made with waterbased inks, printed by hand in the Japanese method, burnishing with a bamboo baren. Because the paper is lightweight, it benefits from having light coloured backing paper.
Materials used:
Japanese kozo paper, waterbased inks.
