The February Frosts diptych was inspired by real events. On a bitterly cold winter day, while strolling by the frozen lake, I was captivated by the ethereal scenes that unfolded before me. I aimed to capture the serene beauty of a frozen lake and the enigmatic presence of birds during the coldest days of winter.
In the second part of the diptych February Frosts. Crows I portray the striking beauty of crows, their glossy feathers and dark elegance contrasting with the frozen landscape. These intelligent and resourceful birds, too, are captured in their search for sustenance amidst the winter chill. Their presence adds a sense of mystery and depth to the diptych, reminding us of the resilience of life even in the harshest of conditions.
