The February Frosts diptych was inspired by real events. On a bitterly cold winter day, while strolling by the frozen lake, I was captivated by the ethereal scenes that unfolded before me. I aimed to capture the serene beauty of a frozen lake and the enigmatic presence of birds during the coldest days of winter.
The first part of the diptych titled Birds showcases the graceful and pristine presence of white birds as they gracefully navigate the frozen lake. With an air of curiosity and camaraderie, they appear to be on a quest, perhaps in search of sustenance or engaged in their own winter celebration. The serene backdrop of the frozen lake accentuates the quiet magnificence of their presence.
