Original artwork description:

Just as fault lines result from the strain and pressure in the earth beneath our feet, our own minds, hearts and souls register the pressures and stresses that life inflicts on us. These can be painful memories, regrets, things we've buried, tried to forget. These symbolic tectonic plates shift, over time, causing friction as they slide against each other. Sometimes fragments break under the strain, and blocks tumble downward, where they achieve a new stability. For a while. This abstract painting uses watercolor and oil on 140 lb paper.

Materials used:

watercolor and oil on 140 lb. paper
