This is a Mixed Media construct that consists of wood, metal, and Oil Paint coupled with touches of a blowtorch to enhance and alter the hue of the Oil. The wood on the surface is primarily hard wood and the surface includes gears from old clocks that I collect. Fathom became something with great depth as I pondered my life, a bit of the past and certainly the future as I was just turning 50 at the time of creation. The horizontal markings suggest a depth of the 'water' but i was trying to mark the decades of one's life, of my life. How many more markings do I have. Hopefully plenty! It is box framed and ready to hang.
