The Queen in her late autumn years attending her first London Fashion Week in 2018. She sat impassively next to another of the world's most inscrutable women, Anna Wintour. As with all my portraits, she is looking directly at the viewer. I decided to give her a modern, colourful treatment in keeping with the vent. Please note her hair, she doesn't often appear bare-headed so I approached her hair like a crown, with great care for the detail.
