Original artwork description:

Having first painted a small study of this farmhouse en plein air, I decided to use that sketch for a bit larger painting. I liked multiple angles and planes of a structure of this farm house, and explored the subtle shifts in value and color on the walls and the roof, enjoying the use of the thick juicy paint layers and expressive brushstrokes.

Materials:
Oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen, mounted on the archival museum quality Gatorfoam panel. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
