Original artwork description:

This is a fairly typical working farm in Cambridgeshire. I pass this farm at Witchford, three or four times a week, as it is visible from the main road into town from my home village. Stopping to capture its likeness however, requires some planning and opportunity. I did this particular morning though, after a rare snowfall.
Christopher Witchall's landscape painting captures the open spaces and vast skies of the Cambridgeshire fens where he has lived, explored, painted and photographed for 30 years.
His unsentimental approach to his subject combines traditional painting techniques with the realism and cool detachment of photogrpahy.
