This 12 x 12" acrylic painting depicts a typical Cambridgeshire fen landscape. A private concrete road leads to a farm near Manea. The clouds retreat after the morning rain.

Christopher Witchall's landscape paintings capture the light, atmosphere, open spaces and vast skies of the Cambridgeshire fens, where he has lived, explored, painted and photographed for 30 years.
His unsentimental approach to the landscape combines traditional painting techniques with the realism and cool detachment of photography.
