I have made several paintings of this view of a farm near St Monans in Fife, Scotland. The barley field reaches out towards the viewer and the farm buildings hug the land, their red colour contrasting with the blue of the water beyond and the sky above. In the distance is The Forth estuary and still further away is East Lothian, on the south side of the Forth estuary.
