The eighth and most spectacular work in my new series exploring the most intimate places our beautiful flowers share with us.

This work is an extra bit special being my all time favourite flower- an iris. Painted on a specially prepared canvas in artists watercolour and adorned with 23k gold leaf...a tricky thing to get quite right but the effect? STUNNING! I have also wrapped the petals around the canvas and added a splash of gold gouache to the sides. This is the heart of a magnificent iris on a huge scale 50x50cm.

When we stop and look a little closer at details light a whole new world of wonder is there before us.

Offered ready to hang on a 4cm deep canvas, this work will be shipped in a robust cardboard box.
