Original artwork description:

This composition first appeared to me in 2017. It was expressed in various materials and techniques, featuring both horses and even dogs. But it was always about the same thing. Only in each iteration, it seemed to illuminate a particular perspective.

This specific work emerged in 2022, during a challenging period for me, marked by significant changes and yet another move. It was a time filled with fear and uncertainty. The horses appeared in the same way, as if they had lost solid ground beneath their hooves. They didn’t know what lay ahead. Was there even anything left behind? Their blankets refused to be beautiful and bright; instead, they came out old and faded.

For two years, this work just waited. Occasionally, I would approach it and alter something in the background. But the horses remained utterly lost.

In August, I suddenly felt that something solid had appeared under their hooves, and they began to come alive, looking around as if they were filling up with colors and life. I really wanted to reach out to them and finish the painting.

As I completed them, I sensed that while some unknown still lay ahead for them, they were no longer afraid. They were no longer lost. They were filled with light.

The name of this composition, in all its versions, has remained the same—"Family"

Even though I finished the painting in August, only now does it feel like the right time to release it into the world.

Materials: canvas on a round stretcher, oil, gold leaf, acrylic, markers, ink.

Materials used:

oil , acrylic, golden ink, golden leaf, markers
