Original artwork description:

ORIGINAL OGNYAN CHITAKOV ARTWORK!

2021, "Family" - stone sculpture

This original granite and optical glass sculpture is hand carved by the Bulgarian national famous contemporary professional sculptor, deeply inspired by naturalism, geometry and formalism. It has an authentic natural charm, mixed with the delicate artistic signature and skills.
Granite is a coarse-grained igneous rock with up to 60% quartz by volume. That's why it is massive, hard and tough, and that's why it forms the basement of all land continents on Earth. Its structure carries the formula of the planet, speaks about its ancient history and formation. It keeps the information. As the sea and the water drop are one, the Earth and the granitic rock are one too. And as granite material is uncompromisingly hard, the artist's concept has to be as uncompromisingly clear too. Otherwise granite will always resist to its new form. There has to be a dialog between the artist and the material. This artwork is based on this concept. It is one extraordinary solid stone masterpiece and valuable modern home decor.

"Each stone material is alive and has a soul. I never ignore it and its gravity as well. I try to give each artwork the feeling of lightness." ... by the artist
