This piece is part of my "People" series based on crowds of individuals located all together in the same space. When I see, or I'm part of these crowds, I frequently stop, and think about all the people around me, all parallel lives, points of view; I even make up stories about them... It makes me realize of the complexity of human being and all the parallel lives running together while in general we just think about ourselves and our closest circle. It makes me think we should be more mindful of others, more respectful, more careful, and I’d love if my work helped achieving that. This exhibition is around family ties, and how those families evolve, so in this particular occasion, I wanted to add different styles of families at different stages distributed amongst those individuals who usually populate my crowded paintings.
The level of detail is outstanding and it's the kind of piece you can look at for hours and you'll still find something different.
