This is the latest of three paintings I've created celebrating the flowering plum tree in my back yard. The title, Fait Accompli, describes an action "that is completed before those affected by it are in a position to query or reverse it." That is sometimes how I feel about the arrival of Spring, that it is inevitable yet wonderfully surprising!
