'Faint Memories of Emotional Tides' is one of very few photographic pieces which I have created in both colour and monochromatic versions. Far from representing a lack of decisiveness in which version to choose as 'best', however, these two pieces have been conceived as a corresponding and counterpoint pair, comprising a dialogue within and across the two diptychs. The dialogue is of memory and perception and the passage of time, evoked by the marks and damage on the surfaces and the changes in position and focus between the two images. There are echoes here also of my 'Monometamorphic' project, in which abstracted surface textures are utilised to represent concepts of human thought, emotion and response, and in which the absence (or presence) of colour signifies not only an aesthetic but also an intellectually transformative statement.
This listing is for a pair of aluminium-mounted C-Type prints, each 15x10 inches, designed to be hung 1-2 inches apart to create an overall artwork size of 22x15 inches approx. Signed and numbered on the back.
Also available as unmounted prints in a range of sizes on Hahnemühle FineArt Pearl paper (or similar), printed on either one or two sheets, hand-signed and numbered in the border, or as pairs of gallery-wrap canvases (signed and numbered on the back).
Please contact me for information and pricing on different sizes and finishes, or with any other questions.
Limited edition of 25 includes all sizes and finish options - this piece will be printed no more than 25 times in any form.
Please be aware that gallery-quality prints of this kind takes a little time. Turnaround times vary from 7 business days for unmounted prints to 10 business days on average for canvas and aluminium mounting, after which I take delivery of the work for inspection before shipping to you. Guaranteed to be worth the wait!
