This was the fifth and final drawing done “en plein air” on this hot afternoon at the Tamsui riverside near ZhuWei. It is a beautiful spot with mangroves, rivers and mountains to enjoy. I always love watching the last rays of daylight and sunset colours reflecting on water, and this place is perfect for that as there isn’t too much local light pollution near by, so you can appreciate the colours more. In this piece I wanted to focus on the last fading colours of the sunset as they danced on the incoming tide, you can also see the dark buildings of Tamsui in the distance.
