Original artwork description:

This painting is an original watercolour on professional watercolour paper featuring a black woman portrait.

The painting style is a bit more loose and abstract than my other portraits, which is something I'd like to explore more. The face was drawn and lightly shaded using a graphite pencil and then I used watercolour on top, so you may still see some of the pencil shading throughout.

The name I've given this piece brings to mind those faces from years ago that pop up in our minds now and then that we sometimes can't quite grasp - faded memories. The way that here hair is not fully realised and the abstract background reassured me that this is an apt title for this piece.

It measures approx. 8.4" x 10.4" and will be shipped unframed.

The painting will be securely packaged in a clear protective sleeve and in a boardbacked envelope marked with 'Please Do Not Bend'
