he works were born from the need to remember the first world war, and the consequent Spanish epidemic. The works had a creation divided into three phases: In the first phase in 2014, which coincides with the anniversary of the beginning of the First World War, the 3 matrices representing an anti-gas mask were created with the woodcut technique. In the second phase, from 2014 to 2018, the matrices were printed on shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, then completed with additions of other shapes and colors with various techniques, and were worn by the artist during the period reminiscent of the war. In the third phase, from 2018 onwards, which coincides with the end of the war and, fat way with the anniversary of the beginning of the Spanish epidemic, the approximately 25 works made on clothing have been dismembered, unstitched and cut out.
The various parts obtained were then reassembled on 9 canvases.
This work was integrated with further pictorial actions and interventions with various techniques. So over 2 years the project ended with the creation of the 9 paintings completed in June 2020.
