Moses spoke to God face to face... God entrusted Moses with the construction of the tabernacle of meeting, also known as the tent of meeting, which was a traveling sanctuary dedicated to Yahweh in the Old Testament. God gave him precise instructions on what the tabernacle would be like, and constantly mentions blue, purple, and crimson...
For me, blue symbolizes the divine aspect of God, crimson represents human blood, and purple embodies the union between the two, that is, the deity and humanity of Christ. By combining the colors blue and red we obtain the color purple.
In this painting titled “FACE TO FACE,” the clouds represent the sky, the dwelling place of God, while the vegetation symbolizes the earthly realm, the home of the human being.
On the other hand, the white scrolls that in pre-Hispanic peoples represented the voice, illustrate how God and man relate through the Word, which is Jesus.
