Original artwork description:
Original oil and cold wax abstract painting on 30” x 40” wood panel. This artwork has elements of deep Prussian blues, bright yellow ochres, hints of intense red, large areas of neutral grays and textured areas of white which all keep the viewers eye moving across the mysterious landscape of color, line and texture. Paint is added on and taken away through a process that exposes what lies underneath. Lines are scraped and scratched into paint and cold wax. Areas of paint are applied with a paintbrush and other areas with a large palette knife. This large format painting has a feeling of both energy and yet a sense of calm.
