This is a very dynamic composition, with its contrasts in color and form. This contemporary watercolor painting transports an almost archaic energy of a powerful creation.
The artist intends to transmit energetic processes, perceived while painting out in nature, to the viewer. Carolin thinks that a more affectionate attitude towards nature is useful to understand better its value and therefore the urgency to protect the environment.
The painting has been created while she was confronting the dynamic power of the Mediterranean Sea.
Carolin adds real Gold leves 22 Karat to emphasize and to share the value of the cathartic process she experiences while painting, kind of similar to alchemist methods to cleanse the mind.
She uses watercolor as the immanent transparancy of this medium is allowing her to work in many layers with the intention to reach a multidimensional effect, to invite the viewer to enter into his /her own inner landscape, inspired by the artwork.
